Daily and shared budget
First of all, please note that all campaigns created by Clever AdWords app will be on a Shared daily Budget. And what exactly is a shared budget?
On Google AdWords you can use a shared budget for allocating an amount among multiple campaigns. When you are choosing an amount to be spent across multiple campaigns, Google will adjust the way your money is spent in the best way to increase your return-on-investment.
This amount spent daily between your campaigns created by Clever app you can set it very easily by utilizing the sliding scale to drag the cursor to your preferred budget limit.
Reach the limit…
Once your campaigns are ready and uploaded, the system will start showing your ad until your limit is met. After that, your ads will stop showing for the day. Notice that adwords will bill you for the number of clicks your ad gets, not for how many times it shows.
Another important thing to note is that on some days you might see that your daily spend on your AdWords campaigns exceeds your set budget limit.
This is happening because the Google AdWords system will show your ads more times during the days with higher search traffic. If you see this don’t worry, Google is going to allocate your budget during the month in such a way that your total amount spent won’t exceed the amount that is equal to your daily budget multiplied by the average number of days in a month.
How much should I spend on AdWords?
Generic rules do not apply here because Google AdWords is not an ordinary channel of advertising. It is built as an auction marketplace; therefore, the amount you should be spending depends on your industry and the popularity of your keywords.
On the Clever AdWords app you will find a recommendation based on the category of your store. We recommend a minimum budget of $10 as anything less will not provide you with representative results. Your campaigns will be limitedly displayed and you will be losing a lot of your potential customers.
AdWords = investment
When you start with AdWords, you should keep in mind that you are making an investment. The less you decide to spend, the more limited your opportunities will be. The important thing is to focus on your ROI and not on the cost of your Ads. This way you will be testing the real profitability of your campaigns. Eventually, you will be able to know what keywords are bringing you conversions and which landing page message is working best for your company.
If you are still not very sure about the amount you want to set, don’t worry! You are welcome to change this amount at anytime on your Clever dashboard.
We remind you that this spend will be charged by Adwords and not by Clever Adwords’ application.
